The requirements for application for membership in the CSJA are as follows:
You must be 21 years of age, or be so by the time you judge for the association as more than a trialing judge. No paid adjudication can occur until the judge is 21 years of age. The candidate must also hold sufficient background and training to warrant consideration. Such determinations shall be the responsibility of the Recruitment Committee, the appropriate Caption Heads and/or Education Director, and the Assistant Director. Two current, active members of the association must recommend you for membership.
NOTE: If you are selected to begin the training process for CSJA, the first requirement is the payment of a training fee. This fee covers the costs of materials, travel and other expenses that the CSJA accrues as a result of training sessions. This fee cannot be waived, nor can any training begin until this fee is paid in full.
Certification: I certify that I have not been convicted of a felony or charged with any immoral or unprofessional conduct which would prevent me from judging for CSJA. If selected to train for membership in the CSJA, I agree to abide by all rules of the association, and to follow the guidelines of the Red Book regarding work, association rules, and other information as provided by the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, the Education Director and the Caption Heads. By submitting this application, you certify that you understand and agree with the above statements and that the act of submitting this form constitutes your legal signature for this document. If someone fraudulently submits your information, you are, of course, under no legal obligation to fulfill the above statements.
